Before and Afters!

Well…I wouldn’t be who I am…if I didn’t have a story.  My story is far more than weight loss success, but for those that are struggling with your weight and think it’s too hard, not possible…take a peek.  Proof is in the pictures!

For those who are new to the nutty world of Sandra…please read the rest of my faith and fitness story…check out my link (off to the right). 🙂

  1. This is really great. I need a little inspiration! Your before and afters are awesome. Do you have a trainer or are you self-taught?

  2. Thank you Kelli! I am mostly self taught. I’ve been weight lifting since taking it as an elective in high school. Combination of watching, reading, practicing and yes…some formal training. I did hire a trainer to do my diet for my 1st competition…a wonderful wealth of knowledge I received! It was also nice to have someone else “think” for me…wrote my meals out, calculated my calories, broke down my protein, carbs, fats, etc and kept record of my weight/fat loss. I’m now doing it on my own…and it’s been trial and error…but I don’t mind. I’m learning my body …it’s likes and dislikes 🙂

  3. Hey, Just read your transformation story and it is a real source of inspiration for me as I’m at a point were I’m struggling and need to make some drastic changes. My life is so hectic and just wondered how you fit everything in?! Whats your daily schedule like? Also how do you prepare your meals 3 days in advance? Again thanks for doing your blog and being a source of inspiration

    1. Karin…thanks for reading!!
Anita…Thank you for reading my bodybuilding.com article and for checking the blog. Sounds like you are on the verge of your own journey!! No time like the present. Hmmm…how I fit it all in…well, I work full time. I hit the gym a minimum of 3 days a week when my daughter is visiting with her dad. Sometimes when needed, i’ll add lunchtime cardio in on the days I can’t workout in the evenings. I prep my meals usually on Sundays and Tuesdays. 3 days worth at a time. Cook everything in bulk and sometimes weigh and prepackage my meals in tupperware so it’s grab and go. I make egg muffins so I don’t have to cook eggs every morning as i’m always short on time (see my recipes for it). I also never sacrifice time with my daughter as she is most important. Honestly…everything I do in regards to my health…IS for her. I need to be around for her! 🙂 Best of luck on your journey. Today is the day Anita!! Remember…nothing is too difficult for God…so I encourage you to seek Him out in all things…including the battle with food. I do!!
