Buffalo Turkey Burger

Need some heat?  I got your heat!  Try these Turkey Buffalo Burgers!

Serves 4

  • 1lb Ground Turkey Breast
  • 2 tablespoon Texas Pete Buffalo Wing Sauce (extra for on top after plating)
  • 1 teaspoon Cumin
  • 2 teaspoon Chili Powder
  • 1/4 cup onion (or 3 round slices)  You can sub 2 garlic cloves (diced or minced) for the onion.
  • 1 stalk of celery (optional)  If you use celery, reduce your onion amount by 1/3
  • 2 ounce of Blue Cheese (or you can use Feta which is what I preferred)

Dice up onion and celery (if used).  Place in large mixing bowl.

Add spices, wing sauce and mix.  Add turkey.  Mix thoroughly.  Form 4 patties.

Spray PAM in a large skillet and place patties over medium/high heat.   Cook patties until thoroughly cooked (165 degrees for ground turkey).

Plate by itself with some 1 tablespoon of cheese of choice and a little more wing sauce if you like.  Wing sauce is VERY high in sodium so take that into consideration.  Drink plenty of water/fluids.

You can also use a bun to make an actual burger, or just eat by itself with lettuce, tomato, etc.

*Grilling would add a whole other level of flavor to these burgers!*
